Hello LPG Kids.
Here are titles and links to the lessons leading up to Easter Sunday:
Jesus’ Triumphal Entry – https://vimeo.com/398881483
The Last Supper – https://vimeo.com/398882374
Activity – Make feet lacing cards Use a marker to trace each child’s foot on heavyweight paper. Cut out the foot tracing for younger preschoolers and allow older preschoolers to cut out their own foot tracing. Help a preschooler punch holes around the edge of his foot shape. Give him a length of yarn and demonstrate how to weave the yarn in and out of the holes. SAY • Jesus ate a special meal with His friends. During this special meal, Jesus washed His friends’ feet to give them an example to follow. Jesus loved and helped His friends and taught them to love and help one another. Jesus loved and helped us by doing for us what we could never do. Jesus is our King who died on the cross to rescue us from our sin.
Jesus’ Crucifixion and Resurrection – https://vimeo.com/398882493
Activity – Make a cross painting Guide children to use several strips of painter’s tape to make a cross on their paper. Invite them to paint over their entire paper with watercolors. Allow the paint to dry, and then remove the tape to reveal a white cross. SAY • The bright colors on your cross picture are happy colors. The women were very happy to see that Jesus was not in the tomb. They ran to tell Jesus’ friends that Jesus died on the cross and is alive. The women had been sad and afraid when Jesus was dying on the cross and then placed in the tomb, but now they knew they did not need to be afraid. Jesus brings forgiveness and life with God forever.
Easter Sunday morning you will be able to find the video of the reading of the Easter story by The Parkers and links to the last two videos and activities.
Here are several activity sheets to help you share the Easter Story with your children:
